[ Whew! Praise the Lord! I have been hearing about possible shows for me to do all over the place. It's so rad. I just played a 4 hour show this morning at Flashpoint Rock Gym. They had a climbing competition on today and Jeremy hooked me up with the gig - thanks bud. As a matter of fact, Jeremy also talked to some break dancers at HEAT last night, who are looking for a DJ for some shows, too... you go Jer! Yeah booking agent! Hahaha.

HEAT was really good last night to. Dan talked to me about getting another DJ to replace Terrance - it was his last night there - so it would be really great if I could spin there too; however, I would probably need to get some more vinyl, otherwise it may get boring... aww junk!

... and since I didn't write on Thursday night, because I had this huge stomach-ache before bed, here goes...

I ran into John on Thursday. I was making a delivery and all of a sudden he comes out on a forklift! What the heck?!? So we went out for lunch and he told me about this rad idea of his. He wants to put on a benefit concert for the Royal Canadian Legion, due to the fact our Abbotsford group has so recently been "scammed" out of a lot of their finances. So, I am helping John to hook up some bands and will DJ there as well. Anyone else interested in helping out should definitely contact me - whether you have a band, know a band, or just want to support our veterans.

Thursday evening Stephanie and I went and saw The Pianist. It was actually really good. There were a lot of intense moments, however some parts you really couldn't get into. Stephanie knows what I mean, but it's kind of hard to explain. After the film we went to Tim Hortons, where I got my notorious "Apple Juice Tummy-ache." It hurt so bad! That's why I didn't write, and that's my story...

I am planning to go see Chicago tonight. It should be good.

Peace... ]

[ This is a rebuttal for the previous post...

The link for James' portfolio site has been removed due to the fact I am a "stoopid-head" and put it up when I shouldn't have...

That is all. ]

[ I just got home from Alyne's. Her, Josh, and I watched "The Shining" tonight. I had never seen it before and it was great. Jack Nicholson is freaking awesome! That was more or less my evening - you have to understand, I am sparing you the "Darin-has-an-amazing-girlfriend" chatter because we all know that you would all be dead sick of it by now... HA!

I cut the grass today. I haven't done that in so long - although it's been much longer since Dean has...

I am still "snuffly" and my throat is a little scratchy, but I am venturing back to work tomorrow, and I'm going to youth too.

On a side note - and because it really is that good - you owe it to yourself to check out what James has up of his flash portfolio. Hopefully it's still up and running. ]

[ Hey everyone. I am finally getting over my sickness. I cannot believe it lasted so long - so ridiculous. I am sorry for the lack of updates, but nothing happens when your sick anyway. I have spent some time with Alyne though, and James, and some Youth, actually my days have been eventful, despite my best efforts to stay in bed - yeah right! Anyway, it appears I will be back to normal DJing at Youth, Jeremy wants me to DJ for an upcoming rock climbing competition, and grey (on my Tag Board) might hook me up with a show too. i'll keep you all posted. God bless, and I am glad I can't pass sick germs through the internet. Peace. ]

[ I am still really sick. I was up at 4:30am this morning in cold sweat. It was gross and I ended up having a shower - yeah, shower at 4:30am! So good!

I slept all day and still am not better. It's quite annoying. That's three days without working and without money - just adding to the torment. I skipped youth tonight to get better and my parents just got home at 9:30pm from Vancouver. I don't think I'll be working tomorrow either. Maybe some of you guys could pray for me.

Peace. ]

[ Sorry everyone... I have been sick the last few days and James is all over me to update, so here goes...

I am in a relationship with the girl of my dreams. Her name is Alyne and and I am really happy. I think that's as far as I'll go there... Our drama team hooked up with APA's last night. That went very well. Keela and I have to figure out some way to work our teams together - we both have different goals in mind right now. I saw In Medias Res with Jeff at the Purple Onion in Gastown last Thursday. They put on an excellent show as usual. You guys haul! I played accoustic guitar in church on Sunday because my dad was with my mom in Vancouver for some teachers conference. That was great. I have taken the last two days of work off due to my sickness. I had some Irish food at Stephanie's house after our youth leaders meeting on Sunday. Things are good and even in my sickness I'm praising God.

God is good... ]

[ I am trying frantically to find someone to go to the In Medias Res show with me tonight... so far it's a "no-go" but I'm hopeful something will turn up soon. ]

[ Sorry about the lack of expected periodic Journal entries as of late... I will get back into the swing of things hopefully sooner than later, and can't wait to get some time to just write. Probably won't happen tonight, though - Youth and a trip to Delta - but maybe tomorrow. I'll try to keep you posted on the small details of the day; unfortunately there won't be much in the way of "the big picture" just yet. ]

[ Alyne chose Cap'n Crunch! ]

[ Saturday, March 08, 2003 ]

[ Just got home from the In Medias Res show... so good! I have a lot of catching up to do in my journal entries - some, however, will have to remain unspoken for the time being. I have to go to sleep though. I need to go to sleep. I am going to sleep... ]

[ I didn't get as much work done today, as I wanted... I ended up actually feeling bored. I mean, with all the stuff I can do, just at my house alone, and I was feeling bored! I had thought about going to Vespers tonight, and just when I was deciding against it, Jeff phones up: "So, you commin' to Vespers, man?" I am so glad I went. "You are beautiful my sweet, sweet song."

I'm thinking on going to bed earlier than normal, get some good Bible reading in too. ]

[ My idea is finished. I realize now how lame it is, but check it out anyway... ]

[ I couldn't start two posts with the same opening line so I started with this phrase instead... now unto my normal posting: I just had a fantastic idea! I will post again when it is finished... your going to love it! ]

[ I just had a fantastic conversation with Jeff tonight at Grabba-Java. His spiritual fervency as of late has been a great encouragement to me and it has been a while since we talked like that - the last time, I believe, was at Mill Lake. I think we both have a lot to think about and to mull over tonight... I caught up with him and some other young adults at the closing of yet another episode of the "Coffee House Tour" that I've had to miss due to drama. I heard tonight's discussion went really well; I'm glad, even though I couldn't be part of it.

Drama went really well too. We all had a good time I think... I hope. We pulled off our skit really well and then I ended up taking some of the crew to the Prayer Rally at Cornerstone... don't worry guys, I was happy to give you the lift. Was it worth it? Tag me and let me know...

Well, I'm going to read so more Ephesians before bed, so goodnight everyone. ]

[ It's been real crazy...

With all the stuff going on lately I have made the decision to start fresh. I have heard from so many people - God has seamlessly brought it all together to show and tell me what I needed to know - and they are all right. I need to continuously make the conscious effort not to let the little things Satan throws at me get me down. It's always the little insecurities, the miniscule doubts that build up and waste me in the long haul. But " I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. " Romans 8:38-39 Amen to that!

My prayer is that I can fulfill God's dream for my life, conquer this thorn in my side, and walk in His path of righteousness; to have my dreams come through for God's glory. For His word says: " Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. " Psalm 37:4 The Lord knows our desires and He is waiting to give them to us, we just have to commit to Him and trust Him in everything. God bless... ]

[ My last significant journal entry was Wednesday evening, and due to circumstances I can still not elude to the complexities of Thursday night.

That said, Friday: James and I went to HEAT where we hooked up with Brad. There was an astonishingly low amount of people at HEAT - a lot less than usual - which was strange. After HEAT we went to Grabba-Java and caught the end of Jordan Neufeld's show. I like his stuff a lot. There we allied with Josh and went to rent a film at Rogers. I ended up buying a film, because it would have cost the same to rent it anyway, and we all went to my place to watch... and that was Friday...

Saturday: James and I got together after I finished my ComiCon photo gallery on my media page, and finished putting the finishing touches on the Flash presentation for my dad's product the GutterMate. There's still one thing left to do before I upload it to the page, though - hopefully James got my email ;)

Well, that was my weekend and soon I'll be heading off to D3 and maybe give Kyle a call after that to see what's up.

On a side note, I should be getting a hold of Ben's interview video of me so I can upload that too. We'll see what happens. ]

[ Off to church this morning - nothing new I guess. I have to be there to collect the Youth Convention early registration forms for Jeremy. I would be gone by now but my laundry is still drying. Bad time to start laundry, no? ]

[ Saturday, March 01, 2003 ]

[ Archives are up... at the bottom, chief. ]

[ I haven't figured out the archives problem yet, so I am just waiting on the Blogger guys to respond to my post on their support forum. Otherwise, my ComiCon gallery is up under the media section... take a look. ]

[ Having some trouble with my archives... it shouldn't be this hard, yet it is the story of my life... still working on it. ]

[ Well it's been a long time in coming and today I have time... I should have my ComicCon photos and my blog archives up by the end of the day. ]

[ I am really tired. I think I will go to sleep and write later. My eyes burn from the contacts... I got paid today... (insert other unrelated point of interest here)... I have a weird taste in my mouth... I missed Alyne before she went to Hemlock - maybe it was for the best... Stephanie ditched us... that's enough... ]
