[ Just some changes: I got some images off James' site of my new business cards. Alternatively, check out the Miscellaneous Pictures page under the Media Section. ]

[ Saturday was crazy... wait, let me re-phrase that: CAH-RaZY! I tell ya. As far as explanation goes, however, not going to happen just yet. James and I finished my cards after a short but effective photo-shoot after practice. We are both pretty happy with the final results. I am excited to see the outcome once they are printed and I can actually hand them out. We are sending them in today or tomorrow and will get them next Wednesday - actually we'll probably pick them up Thursday, because Wednesday night is youth. Then I went to the "End of School" party at Esther's house. We played some good tunes, had some jamming time and I had a great talk again with Lindsay. Yeah barefoot walk and chat sesh on warm pavement on a summer Saturday evening!

Sunday I played bass in church and I had a blast! I couldn't believe how much fun I had playing what I thought would be a boring instrument. I just want to get better at it though. I wanted to mess around a little more and pull some cool riffs - Orb's "Blue Room" comes to mind - but didn't have the time to put into it. I want to get more opportunities though. Maybe I'll really enjoy playing bass when the "Youth Leader Cover Band" gets rolling.

I wanted to hit downtown VanCity after church but it had to rain so we wasted an hour in MetroTown - by wasted I mean it was completely pointless for me to be in that mall, other than some good times chilling with James. Well, maybe when I pick up my cards at ClubCard I can get what I need downtown.

Last but not least: I enjoyed Barrowtown Elementary School and I am excited for tonight... providing email (my perferred medium of communication) prevails. ;) ]

[ I am just at James' house right now, and just finished practice. I am playing bass in church tomorrow and it is so hot outside right now. Absolutely ridiculous.

"28 Days Later" was pretty cool, last night. A little gruesome, but over all a good Zombie film, hehehe. James and I ended up catching a bit of the gathering at Jeremy's house before we came over here and watched some Family Guy: always a laugh.

I really want to do the photo shoot soon and hit Vancouver tomorrow. Things are a little hectic though, because I have to do some work that I would rather not do and my parents are out of town for the weekend... I am not sure when they leave or return, though. ]

[ The Scotland meeting dragged a little, but to be honest, I enjoy hanging out with that crew. Unfortunately I missed Meagan’s grad ceremony, and it’s not one of those things I can say, “Well, there’s always next time.” Just doesn’t work.

Have to write some emails to people and either sleep or throw on a film… we’ll see. Even though I rented one for tonight, I think after my mail is taken care of there won’t be enough time to watch even a bit before my midnight hour comes along. I am deciding now that I will stick with my self-imposed time constraints. ]

[ So much for my "self-imposed curfew." I didn't write last night because by the time I had the chance it was 2:30am. It could be a very long story but in summary: I wanted to watch American Beauty after youth. Danika and Lindsay joined me. Movie didn't end until around 2:30am. Done.

Anyway, I have a Scotland mission's trip meeting tonight - we're approaching the date fairly quickly. Two weeks and I fly to Scotland... *deep breath* ... that's something to think about. Praise the Lord things are healing well for me before we go. I'll leave it right there. ]

[ I got next to no time to write before I have to be in bed. See, I took a look at things yesterday, a good look, and figured there are a lot of ways, I can discipline myself to be more into God, and to treat my body (the Lord's temple) with more respect. That said, I am going to try my hardest to be in bed every weeknight before midnight.

Anyway... "The Italian Job" was a great movie. It was a lot of fun, well written, and didn't need course language or fake love scenes to make it great. I highly recommend it.

'Nuf said, I'm out. ]

[ Monday, June 23, 2003 ]

[ There was a really good, really large prayer rally tonight at Yale high school - Yeah former Yalian! Anyway, there were massive amount of youth out and our drama team performed too. It was quite excellent all in all.

Not much else to write about my day... I want to make a point of getting in some good reading before bed. ]

[ It's funny how no matter how your day goes, whether good or bad, fantastic or horribly wrong, you always remember it by your last feelings and thoughts before you decide to go to sleep. It is reminiscent of a film: The last act makes the film; the last act decides whether you will walk away feeling like it was worthwhile or a complete waste of time. In essence if the movie was a success or a failure depends on it's last waking life...

With that said, yesterday was rough for me. So many jumbled thoughts throughout the day, good fellowship (omlettes), good times (Glen's place), great conversations (Lindsay), uncertainties, and unwanted responses to unreasonable questions... and you fall asleep wondering where the meaning is, where the purpose is and why God can't show you just a little bit more of the picture He is painting. ]

[ ...when I went to post Blogger was down, so here is my post from 2:30am Sunday morning...

It has been a while since Tuesday night.

Wednesday: Youth was that night, and I got to sport my new turntable cases; I was pretty excited. Chad spoke a great sermon and I backed him with ambience. After Lindsay and Danika came over to watch a movie: Far From Heaven. To be honest as far as films go I wasn't too impressed. Julianne Moore was great and so was the cinematography but I found the film lacking and stilted. Whatever, I'm no critic. There were some strange occurrences that evening, some now understood and some left to torment and torture.

Thursday: I worked like crazy on the Flyte website. I put in a 12-hour day! Then went to James' house to go over some business card design stuff and more Flyte website graphic plans. What a day.

Friday: The HULK! Very cool movie, and it was tonnes of fun. Upon returning home Lindsay (who was in the car with me at the time) and I discovered that Sunnyside - the road that connects with my street - was blocked off due to some kind of hostage situation, I assume. It was crazy! I didn't know what to think and then I heard, "If you come out now with your hands over your head, no one will get hurt." over a mega-phone. Crazy!

Saturday: Tonight Jeff and I went to see a Venere show. Joshua was playing keys and tables and they all put on a great show. It was a blast. As soon as I got home, I got a call from Ben (my interview buddy) to hang out with Josh and him. We rented "the Hot Chick" and turned it off about 20 minutes into the video - that's including the previews. It was a terrible film. In fact it doesn't even deserve the "film" title. It was just a bad movie, period. Don't even bother.

So now I am writing my journal, a little sleepy, mulling over some thoughts in my head that have been bugging me for the better part of a week now, trying to stay on track and not stray from the choices I have decided a month ago, and wanting to sleep. Our drama team is performing "Please" tomorrow in church and I am stoked. These kids are just rad.

Thank you Lord for these day, Your days. Be with Jeremy as he preaches tomorrow and the team as they deliver a skit to which they have put in a lot of time and effort. God bless...

BTW, here are those pictures I was going to show a while back... alternatively you could go to the Media section.

[ As I sit here, on my computer, eating a McDeal meal (Big Mac on Tuesday's), at 1:45am Wednesday morning, writing in my on-line journal, after a fantastic IMR show, and an even better conversation with Lindsay, I can only say one thing... God is good.

[ Drama was good tonight. It was sad that it was Melody's last drama practice with us, in fact it was probably Melody's last event with a group of us. We will miss you Mel! I am glad she liked the CD's I made for her.

I got my turntable cases today! Ya, "Ace Case!" They are actually really nice and sturdy cases. 'm very happy with them. A big thanks goes out to Audiolines again.

IMR is playing tomorrow at Mesa Luna's and I've got a car full of people going. I am really excited about this show ... you might even say giddy? It should be really good; it has been a while.

Have a great sleep tonight all... ]

[ Monday, June 16, 2003 ]

[ Well, as usual I had planned to go to Warfare Prayer, I got up, but my ride slept in. The positive effect of course would be extra sleep for me. Yay! It was good because instead of coming home and sleeping after hanging out with Jeremy, I ended up installing and playing some good ol' Quake 2. It's been a while, but I think I got my fix of it for now.

Drama's tonight... and Mel going away party: I hope she likes my gift. She totally will, haha! ]

[ Sunday, June 15, 2003 ]

[ Jeremy and I got together this evening to chat on the youth website idea. I am actually really excited about it; he has a lot of great ideas for it and the passion to follow through. Props yo! I hope we can work it out together and really use the site to the best of its ability. The Internet is a fantastic way to stay connected, promote events, and exchange information - I think if we stick with it the site will be rad!

Jeremy and I ended up having a great "chat-sesh" afterwards, too. It was the first in a long time which made it pretty intense. It was good. I ended up missing the fireworks in Aldergrove though, but now I can get a good sleep and be up for Warfare prayer in the morning.

Oh yeah, an I am stoked for IMR on Tuesday... are YOU comming!? ]

[ I had a rad day. I worked for almost 5 hours today at the warehouse with Jimmy and Chris and was almost late for our church gathering: CLCC's 10th Anniversary! It was good times. I left a little early so I wouldn't make it to Keela's party too late. I ended up bumping into Joshua - Venere's most recent addition. He's a DJ too - whom I had actually met first at the Potter's Place in Vancouver last Monday when our drama team went out there. We pretty much got to know each other and hung out all evening, scoping out the party and trying to make some new connections. All in all it was good times. Hopefully he will come to the In Medias Res show on Tuesday night. Time to take out the ol' contacts... peace. ]

[ Saturday, June 14, 2003 ]

[ Hey. I was up until 2:30am yesterday morning backing up my computer and spent most of today formatting and reinstalling. I am almost back to where I need to be for work and stuff, so I am happy.

Full Life was tonight at Mill Lake. As I have said before it is very difficult to pour out of yourself into others when you are empty. Tonight got better as it went along though. It was good. I am still not very social... I apologize to those who tried to talk with me and felt I was blowing them off: I just really couldn't handle being open tonight.

Take care all... ]

[ Wednesday, June 11, 2003 ]

[ Hey everyone, my computer is really messed up right now so I am more or less unable to update my site. Fortunately I can still update my journal and such, but I can only do it from work and I just can't waste time... sorry.

Take care all, hopefully I'll be back soon... ]

[ Friday, June 06, 2003 ]

[ Tonight was good times. I am really too tired to write now, but I will summarize. James came over and we watched "Adaptation" which turned out to be a fantastic film. I called Kyle and he came over and we all played "Brute Force." Then, as Kyle and James were leaving, we decided to get together this weekend for more of the same, and some LAN party action! Sweedish...

G'night. ]

[ Thursday, June 05, 2003 ]

[ Youth went really well last night ... in my opinion. We didn't have the use of our projector - it got dropped last week and needs to be fixed :( However, based on the general theme for the evening, things fit rather well. Chad spoke on full life worship and how it's all about being focused on the Lord and not having to be under certain circumstances to worship our Creator. Worship in spirit and truth.

The youth leaders hung out at Lindsay's farm after youth ... I had a great time. Alyne's allergies were just terrible. I felt so bad for her. I also got my Amazon.ca order in the mail: 2 Aphex Twin CD's, Victorian Age Vampire Companion and my dad's Father's Day present. I can say that on here because he won't read this anyway! Hah!

Got to get back to work... installing Norton Anti-Virus 2003.

TTYL... ]

[ Wednesday, June 04, 2003 ]

[ Well, I am still tired, but I just had to say I had a great night. We ended up watching a terrible film called, "The Truth About Charlie." The great part of the evening is we all just had fun. I mean, for the most part even when just doing nothing but chatting - waiting for Maria - Danika, James and I were just killing ourselves laughing. I'm talking side-aching laughter here ... fantastic!

Now I must sleep, though: work tomorrow. James apparently has some new ideas for my business cards, so I am pretty excited... and as I mentioned, tomorrow is youth. Good night, sleep tight, dream dreams... and don't forget to pray!

[ Tuesday, June 03, 2003 ]

[ I am so tired right now. Everything has been going good for me lately... well not good, just not bad, hehe. Anyway, we had our Mini-Golf fundraiser on Sunday - more like FUN-raiser! I'm freakin' hilarious -and it was a blast. To be honest, the only thing I really liked about it was wearing the fantastic kilt that my mom made for me: the photo will be up soon.

I am leading a worship set at youth this week and I am really thankful. The Lord has really been leading me through the desert and I am starting to get a hold on things again. There are still a lot of things that are uncertain, but one day all things will be made known.

I'm going to phone a few people tonight and watch a film instead of going to IMR. Sorry boys, I am just too tired. But more shows are coming up soon and I can't wait to see them live again!

I hope Megan's prom is good for her ;) ]
