[ Last night went very well. If you didn't know I spoke and DJed at Covergence - see News. I didn't record what I said - Snap! - so I couldn't tell you how long I spoke for or, for that matter, even what I said. The issue being that there wasn't a lot of preperation involved on account of changing subject matter. Long story short: His strength is made perfect in weakness.
I will be playing a Valentines party with James tomorrow - see News - just so you know. It should be good, but much less "Trancey" and way more "Top 40s" then I'd like. Serves me right for not having a manager and loving the music so much that I will probably never say "No". ;)
Next Thursday starts the Young Adults small group at my house, and in two weeks I speak at CLCC Youth. Be praying. ]

[ He can raise the dead... ]
[ Wednesday, February 09, 2005 ]
[ Well, this has definitely been the longest hiatus I have ever been on as far as writing in my journal. So much has happened it's not even funny. I'll start with a short break down and then move on to future events.
Past: I have been going to the RockGarden consistently and plan to for the remainder of the semester. Rikk Watts is going through the book of Mark and the Word always floors me. Work is getting more hectic, but as of writing this, things seem a little calmer than they did a few weeks back. Starting to get back into a routine, even if it is way more responsibility than ever before - Marketing and Sales manager! What is the Jack!? The RockWall gig I played went very well. Terry made a great little bubble room for me so my gear didn't get full of chalk dust. Emerald City ComiCon was absolutely brilliant this year. I met up with Camilla again - after trying to track her down for a whole year! - and picked up some more of her art. The show is getting bigger and better every year. I even sat in on a discussion panel on self-publishing. I just picked up and learned so much this time around. I also found out about a lot of small press and independent studios that I never heard of before that look promising, along with hooking up with a bunch more resources. What a great convention.
Future: I am starting up my young adult small group on February 24th. I am really excited about this and I hope it is the Lord's dream and not just my own... otherwise I have absolutely nothing. I will be teaching at youth on March 2nd as well, from Mark 2: Jesus heals the paralytic. Wow. I never thought I would be doing this - just more revelation of prophesy. I will also be playing another party for David Skidmore at the Big Green House. Yeah Valentines rave! Well, actually, it will be more of a hip-hop party with me trying to sneak in progressive house and trance at every opportunity. Open your eyes people. There is so much more fun to be had when you're not worried about how many "dance" moves you have and get lost in the music instead. Gosh!
Peace and grace... I will be back soon. ]
